White ramie or mosi, is the flax-like fiber that comes from the stem of the
ramie plant, a perennial in the nettle family.
Hand-woven white ramie textiles of the Hansan area have long been
famed for their fine texture, porosity, snow-white color and gossamer
lightness, which made them the preferred material for summer clothing.
