The 2nd Tunnel

The 2nd Tunnel, which was discovered on March 19, 1975, had a large scale structure possible for cars, field artilleries, 30,000 soldiers per hour, and even tanks to penetrate through. This tunnel was developed by the Cheolwon-gun Security Tour Plans and is now open for the public. Many people from all over the country visit this tunnel, and it became a live education on the belligerence of the North. At the tunnel entrance, there is a cenotaph dedicated to the eight men who died during the internal search, by the explosives that the enemies had installed, and is furthermore stirring the anti-Communist spirits. + Depth : 50-160m under ground, Length : 3.5km, Height : 2m, Width of ceiling : 2.1m, Width of ground : 2.1m
