Mt. Chookryungsan

Rising 879m high above the sea level, the mount sits 12km west of Hanchun-ri of
Oesuh-myon.  Two small rivers, Jojongchun and Sudongchun flow around the mount.
One of the famous spots in the mount is Nami Rock.  It is said that Nami the famous
general of the Chosun period trained himself to be a great warrior at the rock.
The mountain's lush forests and beautiful valleys have been developed into a forest
park that is equipped with a forest bath field, sports facilities, a water park and camping
facilities.  The park is a popular weekend resort for families.  The top of the mount
provides a great view of nearby mounts: Mt. Wunak, Myungji, and Wha-ak to the
north and Mt. Homyung and Lake Chongpyong to the southwest.
