Seokgulam Grotto is
the essence of cultural and scientific excellence, religious aspiration
and faith of Shilla people. The supremacy embodied in the grotto is a representative
Korean art of world class.
This is the image of Buddha
in the center of Seokgulam Grotto. It is made of white granite and 3.26m high, 2.6m
wide. It has been thought of as the most brilliant masterpiece in
the Orient because of its countenance full of benevolence and
dignity.
