Chosun White Pottery Kiln

Pottery spots located in Punwonri and Keumsari, Namjong-myon, Kwangju-gun are the home places of Chosun white pottery . Around Kwangju-gun there had been the pottery office of Chosun dynasty. Here are plenty of fire woods, white clay of good quality, and convenience to carry using Han river.
So there are ruins where kilns were here and there.  During Imjin war a lot of pottery arts were taken away to Japan, many kilns were destroyed, too.  Then the pottery places like Keumsari, Domari, Bunchunri, Kwaneumri etc. Show the prosperity of pottery culture in Chosun dynasty.
